Wild Horizon Gardens was founded from a belief that small, disciplined farms can play a powerful role in building stronger local food systems.
Born and raised in Oregon, the founder spent more than twelve years serving the community through customer-focused work that emphasized reliability, trust, and long-term relationships. This foundation later evolved into a deeper commitment to food access and agricultural sustainability.
In 2023, the founder launched Sustainable Food Corp, a nonprofit initiative in Illinois focused on growing gourmet mushrooms and providing them directly to community members in need. Through hands-on production and distribution, the experience reinforced how controlled-environment farming can deliver consistent, nutritious food while reducing many of the risks associated with traditional outdoor agriculture.
Returning to Oregon to be closer to family created the opportunity to transition from nonprofit food support into building a long-term agricultural enterprise rooted in local production. Wild Horizon Gardens represents a commitment to steady growth, operational discipline, and sustainable farming practices designed to endure.
